It came out in the 90s and it was based on the I Dream of Jeannie theme song, but it was really mellow. I do not know the lyrics but it did still have the "do, do...do do do...do....do do do do do." Any help is appreciated!

Hey, the song your trying to find is "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth with Money in my Hand" it is sung by Primitive Radio Gods. Great tune, one of my personal favorites. I spent 3 days browsing yahoo music jukebox about 2 months ago just to find that song. Tom's Diner also had that in it but I figured I'd give both just in case it was the other. Hope it helps. Peace.

You're probably talking about Suazane Vega.

DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (Will Smith) used the I Dream of Jeannie Theme for Girls Ain't Nothin But Trouble back in the late eighties.

Tom's Diner by Liz Vega? It came out in 1981, but in 1991, a band called DNA did a cover of it and Vega decided to allow a whole album of covers, which was released as "Tom's Album." You're probably thinking of the DNA version, which has this really nice, mellow horn instrumental taken from Soul II Soul.

That sounds like a song by that one artist... Anne Vega I think? About a coffee shop or something?
