I normally have a very short cycle, about 18-21 days, and it's never consistant. But now only 8 days have gone by and I just started again. My tubes are tied, so there's no miscarriage, although I'm clotting. I'm 42 so I havn't started menopause. Any Ideas?

a simple blood test will tell you if its menopause.
and since youre not on the pill it could be any number of things, maybe a growth in the uterus like a tumor or cyst. also have an ultrasound done

Hi, another 42 year old here, just missed 8 weeks and I have never missed except when pregnant. Had the clots, massive, no pre menopause nor menopause. Ended up in emergency room due to loss of blood, found cysts, had D&C, went light for a few days, then heavy for another week and a half. FINALLY after 4 weeks, period gone. Go figure, cycle change and cysts. What a big pain. Can't wait for menopause.
Go to your dr. if it doesn't change. Perhaps a D&C could help.

My sister had something like that and her gyno put her on birth control to regulate her period. My mom's friend also started having frequent periods that were not regular and it was always really heavy and she was in her mid 40's. She ended up having a serious problem, so I think you should go see your gyno.
