I'm a therapist and would like to know mistakes that others have made. That way I can avoid doing the same. Any input is helpful. Thank you!

I once had an hour long massage where the "therapist" just slid her hands under my shoulders while I laid face up under the sheet. She moved her hands maybe an inch in each direction for the entire hour. She said she was waiting for my "spirit guides" to guide her. Needless to say, that was my last visit to her. Just be sure you are clear as to what your client wants from the massage. Everyone is different. I think massage is the most theraputic threatment available for general overall health. Good Luck!!!

I love a massage, but the worst is when a person rubs too hard in the same spot for long and most of all, please, try not to rub skin too hard on the bones and spine, it's VERY painful.

Yes. One time I had a girlfriend stroke me and she literraly was playing tug of war. Worst massage ever in my life. I can still think of the pain right now. I was soft for 2 days.
