20+ years ago I checked out a movie that I think was called "The Forest". It was set in pre - revolutionary times and was about a group of people including a defrocked ( I think) priest that were fleeing from a village and stumbled into a valley where a demon or spirit had enslaved all the native inhabitants & kept them literally as part of the trees. I particularly remember a scene when they first enter the valley where they are commenting on the Indian heads carved into the trees and as they walk away the camera shows a tear rolling down the cheek one of the" carved" heads. I seem to remember that this movie was made in Ireland but may be wrong. There is another more well known horror flick also called "The Forest" but this one was a surprisingly good movie. Also if possible would like to know if it was ever released on DVD. Thanx to all for any help you can give me.
