Until recent yrs an 18yr old who had enlisted in the service was actually allowed to drink on a military installation. Unfortunately we had a mass influx of people wanting to raise it not only to 21 but some even to 25. The states passed the laws so the miltary had to comply as well. Its a long argued idea.

Drink from 18, die from 21. That way, you get two more years. Makes sense.

this is a slap in the face to our young men who are old enough to fight and die for our country but, they don't have enough maturity or responsibility to drink a beer, in the states but can drink all they want in almost any foreign country, does this make sense, some how this picture is not right

By end of each day, the death slowly comes near. So, why do you ever wanna shorten your life further. I think drinking should be banned for people under 30 years. Or else the best years of human life will be wasted for no reason.

You have the right to vote and to go and die in battle. But not to drink. You can blame this one on conservative politicians...

Because at 18, they are still irresponsible. For some people they are never responsible.
