I was looking for a courtcase on something that involved my infant and found the case, but do not understand the process. I copied and pasted the information. I don't know what an initial pretrial is, etc., and do not understand since I was the one that made the complaint, why I haven't been called as a witness. Do I have anything at all to say about this case. This happened in Texas.

Please read on for more information.

Apparently someone has been criminally charged as a result of of your complaint. Obviously they contest the charge(s) or refuse to plea and adequately moved for jury trial. Unless they take a plea for a reduced charge you will probably have a say, if not some explaining to do.

Otherwise you have turned the matter over to the "court" and they will decide if you get to say anything in a legal forum regarding the matter.

Further it is up to the states prosecuting counsel and the defendants counsel whether or not you will be called as a witness of which there is no guarantee you will get to testify.
