Yes, I think it's the poem, The Raven, by Edgar Allen Poe, that you mean.

The Raven, is a bird of omen, usually ill omens, especially because although ravens are in the same family as crows, they are quite a bit bigger, and are pitch black. Like budgies, they can be talk to mimic human phrases.

Pallas (not "Dallas") is the alternate name for Athena, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom. She was "born" fully armored, from the skull of Zeus.

Midnight is typically used as the "witching hour" in many short stories and poems; the time of night when the spirits, witches, goblins etc walk the night.

December is considered to be the deepest, darkest month of Winter.

the raven represents his sorrow for Lenore's death

pallas is athena, the greek goddess of wisdom or just wisdom
