I'm interested in going to medical school after i get my degree in Child Development, but I'm not quite clear on how Med School works. Do you get your degree take the necessary tests and apply for med school and wait? or how is the process done. Will it be all medical school or will i be allowed to work while in med school?

for pre med they prefer you to have a science under major, i dont kno if child development counts as a science under grad major. in ur junior year you take MCAT's they are like high school SAT'..you getting in a good medical college depends on them and ur gpa. then you apply to a med school and you have interviews and all....they usually dont allow you to wrk or you have like 10 hours u can wrk and all because all med students are full times students with study load and all i dont think many find time to have a job. my cuz did biochemistry and he got in to the school he wanted to go to. i have decided to do biology ( i sux in chemistry)... except i have decided to go to community college before 4 year university so i can take my math and sciences in small classes and not have to be in a 1000 students biology class.( my school i want to go to has a 1000 students biology class). inshallah good look

You will take the necessary prereqs for medicine. During your Junior year, April, you will take the MCAT. The summer between junior and senior year, you will start applying to medical schools. In the fall, you will receive secondary applications and start receiving interview requests. Some schools start accepting people as early as October. You need to find the admissions policy of the school you're interested in.
You can apply during your final year of undergraduate, but some people do take a year off.
Med students do not have time to work. I don't know of a single working med student.
