My husband is a store manager and he said they are going to keep the numbers as low as possible to keep the demand and prices up through the holidays. If you have seen the movie "Jingle All The Way" then you will understand when I tell you that getting a ps3 will be like getting a turbo man.

Supposedly they will ship more between launch and Christmas or the end of the year. Sony said 400,000, but it may be less.

400,000 are being shipped to the US on Nov.17 and then you will have to wait a bit until more arrive.

i work at gamestop and they said they are only shipping 400,000 systems...byt he END of 2006 should be about 2 million
