The Hospital where I was born is no longer there otherwise I would call them and see if they could provide a copy. Not sure what happens to hospital records when this happens or if I will be able to get my birth certificate.

In some states you contact the county court house where you were born, but more and more states are starting to move birth records from the county level to a state level.

While the state office names vary, Dept of Vital Records,, Dept of Birth records, you should get a copy for 3 to 5 dollars a copy.

Alll the online companies do is get it from these exact same places, and charge you a big amount for writing a letter to get it.
