i grew up using pads only,

but now im trying tampons and it seems like the tampon gets full and overflows onto my panties too quick. becouse the string is bloody i always notice

seems like pads are better right? just as messy>?

Arent tampons more expensive to buy and u need larger AND more quantities of them since u have to change them so often?

Regular tampon users- does that happen to you?

how often are you suppose to change your tampon?

How do you know when its time to change it?

how do u know when the tampon is full of blood if its in your vagina and you cant see it , only by pulling it out of there?, and then u cant put your tampon back in ?

commercials say you cant feel the tampon in you , but i can, it feels like it grips on your vaginal muscles too much and every time you breathe and contract your vagina you feel it cling ing on there and it feels nasty.

You might not be putting it far enough up - I know at first it seems like its super far already but try pushing it in even further - you definitely wont feel it like that if its far enough in. That could be the reason it fills up so quickly - because its not far enough too. If you try that and it still fills up try using one size up - like super. If that still gets filled in a few hours- go see your gp - thats an extreme amount. I usually can go about 6 hours with a regular - because its still half dry at 3 or 4.

Tampons are a lot better than pads cause sometimes you don't even remember you have your period. There are some tampons that need to be changed every four or five hours the first days of your period but there are others that can be changed every six or seven hours cause they absorb more. You will probably have to change them often the first two or three days of your period and then as your period goes away you can have it for longer. Buy the ones that absorb more for longer. And be sure your tapon is inside, you might have a bit of it outside that is why it feels bad, you have to have it in only the string needs to be out

when ever they need it some times every 3 hours sometimes ever 6 or 7 once in a while even up to the limit of 8 hours (your not suppose to wear them longer than 8 hours) if you need something that lasts longer than 8 hours check out the instead cups (avaliable next to the tampons in any drug store) or the keeper or moon cup www.keeper.com. they can be used for 12 hours at a time. some times with a tampon you know its time to change it because the top of the string starts to turn red. some times you can feel that its feeling wet. some times you just dont know what kind of day it is and you have to change it to find out. no tampons are not more expensive and you dont need more of them. pads should also be changed every 3-8 hours or so. they get really smelly if you dont change them regularly. i find actualy you need less tampons because there is less odor and less blood sitting there (i find feeling a wet pad really uncomfortable and they need chaning alot...even with that dry weave which sticks to you like pastic icky...tampons are way better). if you have tampon leacking problems you can try a few things try a bigger size, try a diffrent brand (tampax is notorouse for blood leaking down the string and staining...OB is a good brand that doesnt do that as bad). you coudl put a pany liner down too. if your feeling the tampon you might not have it in far enough. yes to some degree you will feel them particularly the bigger it is, but if your feeling it alot then you might need to push it in a little more. sounds like you dont like tampons?...if you dont, dont use them...but for us tampon users...and as far as i'm concerend there is nothing else...pads are not something that are ever found in my bathroom...or even an option in my opionion...i dont like the feel its like wearing a diaper. some even make noise like diapers. they smell more from the blood drying and growing bacteria once exposed to the air. pads also make bigger grosser more embarassing messes. pads leak out in the front or back (big red spot on your butt?!) if a tampon leaks it leaks straight down and its easier to hid and cover till you can change. also pads sometimes i found didnt absorb small clots fast enough and then caused leaking right off the sides. so what ever floats your boats. everyone has diffrent prefrances and experineces.

you should change 6-8 hours. as for "feeling it" you should push the tampon a little more farther, and you won't feel it. i also started with a pad because tampons are not always available here. it happened to me when i first used it , i felt it inside me, and i felt that it would go out. you can know when the tampon is full when you pull it, when it easily slide out it's full, but when you feel some resistance/hurts you, you may need to leave it longer.

You need to change your tampoon at least every 8 hours, but that's only so you can sleep at night. During the day, try changing it about every 6 hours. If it is leaking, try using the next size up.

If you can feel it, than it is not inserted all the way.

Change them every 2 hours or as often as you need to. If they are uncomfortable that means you are not putting them in right. If you want wear a panti liner along with the tam. Avoid Toxic Shock Syndrome.
