I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. My grandma taught me how to crochet too. Don't worry, there are a lot of good websites to help you.
Here are a few below. I especially like Annie's Attic because it has short videos of a person making the stitch.
The nice thing is that, once you get the hang of it, you'll remember your grandma and what she did for you.
All the best.

There is a really good book that I have and highly recommend called "Ready, Set, Crochet". The book stands up on its own, so you can follow the directions and pictures while crocheting.

I would see if any of your friends moms or grandmoms crochet.. I am sure they would love to show you how! My Mom showed me how when I was younger then you.. I learned again from a coworker as an adult you really don't forget.. Good luck

You can find a number of web sites that will give quite good instructions.

Try:-

http://www.geocities.com/snowymts.geo/crochet2.html

http://www.craftown.com/crolesson.htm

http://crochet.about.com/library/blbeginners.htm

It's a bit fiddly to get started but don't give up - once you work out the best way for you to hold the hook and the yarn you'll be away.

Good luck.

You can go to an arts and craft store and buy a book on crochet.

Try AC Moore.
