If by "soul" you are referring to an immaterial aspect of human existence, then the answer seems to be "no." The evidence from philosophy of mind and cognitive or neural science indicates that the notion of a human soul is superfluous. The brain essentially takes care of the functions that were once assigned to "soul," even though qualia (subjective sensations) sometimes pose difficulties for materialists.

people do have large amounts of electricity in their bodies.
some have special abilitites that allow them to use this energy in ways that never physically manifest. Does that make the energy unreal? no

The problem with so many perspectives on souls ect is that due to the intangible nature of "the subject" and the fact that no ones visual cortex can produce this energy to be seen by all is a meer inconvenience.

For science and believers this subject remains sketchy.

At the end of the day we have to accept that we are either a "cosmic" accident formed through evolution and produced magikally or that their is indeed greater powers at work in which we do not fully understand!!

Im more inclined to believe in the latter. IF we were meant to build ships and transport systems that took us beyond death then im sure we as men and women would do a great job of stuffing it up and starting a war over who had the "right" to gain such a journey.

Im sure the "richest" countries would claim stakes over such technology and the "poor" would be left out of the equation. At the end of the day, the soul theory is for the individual only. We cant share our souls except through our intellect.

Yes. I look at people spiritually like a patchwork quilt, made of bits and pieces that we share with each other. Every relationship between two people is unique where we share certain interests or ways of interacting together. So we share some fabric. And each person is collectively a unique combination of all that fabric, connected to soul-mates over time and space, not just this lifetime but from the past and future, some we may never meet in person but share our dreams or goals, our hopes and fears, our loves and joys all the same. So that unique combination of all that which makes us special is the same as our soul. We are all connected, but we are each unique at the same time.

A person with a religious belief believes in a soul.

I had a near death experience and my soul went traveling through the white light. I definatly believe in the soul after that experience.

I think the term "soul" has been taken too far, I think that each human has it's own unique perspective from which it veiws what is the shared reality created by the perspective as an acceptable world. Can this perspective shift and leave this reality? Of course they are you and shall continue as you know you will continue in some way.

Yes. The book of Genesis explains the creation of mankind this way:
..he (God) took some clay and breathed life and soul into it..
while evolutionists say that mankind is the culmination of evolution because we are the only beings capable of knowing right from wrong, (a soul) something we would not need if we were the equal to animals.

I don't call it a soul but I think humans have an "energy" that is strong and vital in some people and dark and weak in others.
