To not let hate guide you. It is because after Guinevere cheated on King Arthur with Sir Lancelot, Arthur was going to have Guinevere burned at the stake (only to forgive her later on), but before in the process of saving Guinevere Lancelot killed two knights, which were brothers of Sir Gawain, leading to Sir Gawain havin Arthur start a war against Lancelot (only to both later regret having the war). At the end Arthur dies because he wasn't able to get help from Lancelot.

Wow, let me think because I am remembering a tale of wife who was unfaithful, a trusted friend who deceived Arthur, and a sister (Morgan LeFay) who wanted to kill him and take the throne for her (and her brother, Arthur's) son. I guess the morality is that Arthur stayed true to his own beliefs and vows despite the deceit that played out by those most trusted individuals around him.
