For core, we are supposed to be writing a persuasive essay, starting tomorrow by bringing ideas for one to class.

The issue is, I can't think of anything to write about! The examples he's given to us are, global warming, and year-round schooling. My friend is also thinking about doing children who have early 'relationships' (like third graders who are "going out".) We're supposed to be doing something that we "feel strongly about", but I'm not sure what I feel strongly about.

Could you guys help by giving me some ideas, for me to at least get thinking about? Thanks!

I did one of those for 7th grade. I got an A, and my topic was "Should off-campus lunch be allowed in high schools"? It also is best that you defend the side with the most reasons that you can think of, and for me that was it should be allowed. There are also other issues like abortion and capital punishment that are guaranteed an A, if well researched. Good Luck!

Do something interesting, maybe you dont but this could be a topic- Is human performance better when eating random healthy foods, or the food choices that one eats because of its taste. for example, would you perform throughout the day better if you ate a healthy salad and drank two glasses of water, or if you ate what you liked better, like a snickers bar and three slices of pizza. of course thats just one topic, make it something creative, then which you can persuade and explain yourself completely, hope i helped.

Yes, easy as 1, 2, 3:

1. Tell them what you're going to tell them...write 1 sentence.
2. Tell them.....write 1 sentence
3. Tell then, summarize what you told them - write 1 sentence

Hey, what about what's "in" at school that's ruining kids for life.
That's cutting/slashing/self-mutilation...and my 16 year old is doing it now!!!!

Why would anyone slash themselves...why...make scars forever...just to be in?

Try to think some issue you actually care about. Then try to defend it as much as you can using references. If you're still having a writer's block. Try this site:

I once did one on animal testing.
My senior project has to be one also, and I'm doing it on etiquette and why it should still be used today.
