Confidence and practice : )
I know, easier said that done. However, you are what you think. If you stand up there and know your face is turning bright red, your knees are shaking, and you have it in your head that you just can't get through this speech without completely bombing it, then that's exactly what will happen.
While practicing, it helps if you can do it in front of a mirror and/or other people (maybe family or close friends). Try to practice "keeping your cool" and relaxing. Tell yourself that you'll do great and really believe it.
Also, it's always helped me to think about your audience. Everyone listening to your speech WANTS you to do well. No one wants to watch someone stand up there and make a fool of themselves. You will find that the audience is not "out to get you", but rather on your side...very forgiving if you make a mistake or stumble upon a word. Try to remind yourself that everyone listening knows exactly how it feels to be standing up there speaking in front of people, and they don't judge you nearly as hard as you judge yourself.

i hate it too. but if you're confident in your topic, you shouldnt get nervous. i get the feeling that i turn BRIGHT BRIGHT red, but i just breathe, and focus on not talking so fast, so that i forget about turning red, and it eventually fades. the best way to deal is to forget about blushing, and focus about what you're reading, or talking about, that way you dont even notice that you're burning up. or, you can practice on a couple people that aren't necessarily your friends, but they dont hate you. that way you feel nervous coz theyre not close to you so that you dont get scared, but they'll be nice and tell you about what you can fix. i suggest going to that one girl or guy that sits next to you in chemistry (or something) that you talk to, but dont really hang with outside of that class.

I always pretend that the audience is made up of my family and best friends in the world. It works for me. It also helps me to be myself and not try so hard. I get better results that way.

I say this my friend, try practicing more and more and it will help you more. Also try not to think that everyone is out to get you, that way you'll gain more confidence in speaking in front of people.

first practice in your room and focus on something once you get use to it when you go out to talk focus on a clock on the wall or something on a wall. if nothing is on the walls around you then focus on something higher then the crowed and you will be alright.
