It is not a matter of liking. It is a matter of having the ideal board for your height. In most cases, the tip of the board should touch somewhere between your nose and your chin. As simple as that.

The idea that a snowboard is a function of your height is nonsense.
First principles - what does a snowboard do? It distributes your *weight* across the snow. Snowboard size is a function of your weight.
Sure, if you're of average build, the 'chin' test will get you a rough estimate but is that what you want. After your weight, there are many other factors which affect your board selection: foot size; riding style; etc.
I weight about 190 and my freeride board is a Nidecker Platinum 158.

I'm 5"3' 110 lbs. I ride a 148 Rome Blue most of the time. My pow board is a 153 Morrow Truth (not that great, but it was free).
