I'd love for it to be the Braves too, but they haven't even started the season yet or announced the postseason winners for this year yet. The Braves have a bunch of moves they need to make before they can do anything like contend and the biggest one may involve trading Andruw Jones for a starting outfielder, pitcher and a couple of minor leaguers. Look for Andruw to go.

In the 2007 World Series Battle between the DETROIT TIGERS and the NEW YORK METS, the TIGERS will win. I 'll give you five reasons why they will win and five why the Mets will lose:
Why Tigers will win:
1. They posted MLB leading ERA w/their pitching staff, which is only going to get better.
2. Alexis Gomez. Did you see him in the ALCS? Man, he can hit. He will be a big part of this team in the near future.
3. Jim Leyland-a great manager who was already turned around a team 3 yrs. removed from a 119 loss season to AL champs; in my opininon, hes the leagues best manager
4. Craig Monroe. As an emerging power hitter in the AL, he will emerge as a dominating hitter to protect Magglio Ordonez
5. Their division. The White Sox wont make a run at it in 07, just like last year, and the Twins are without Liriano until 08.
Why Mets will lose:
1. Billy Wagner. During the reg. season, he came up big. However, he can't perform in the clutch, as seen in the NLCS
2. NLCS loss. They lost to a team that barely got into the playoffs and that won only 83 games during the season. Its pathetic.
3. Cliff Floyd's Free Agency. He was a big part of this team and supported the bottom half of their lineup with some pop. He'll be in a different uniform next year because other teams need his offense.
4. Pedro Martinez. The Mets expected him to be a #1 starter for several years. Now, he has an injured calf and shoulder, had an emotional meltdown on national TV, and an ERA over 4. He's even considering retirement. Bad news for the Mets.
5. Carlos Beltran. No, I'm not crazy, it's true. Bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, 0-2 count, and he's up. What does he do? STRIKES OUT!!! LOOOKING!!! PATHETIC!!! Seriously, for a guy who hit 41 homers during the reg. season, he should've come up big. If he continues to flounder when he's really needed, this team will suffer in an elimination situation.
Hope this helps you out!!!

How is anyone supposed to have any clue about that until almost the end of next years season when it's down to the NLS & ALS playoffs?
It depends on so many different things that it's kind of dumb to think about that now. You can't go by last year because coaches can retire, players can get injured, players get traded...
If you're asking based on last years stats, then the Cards again; if they have all their players healthy. Cards stats were so bad during the last season because almost everyone was injured and unable to play. But as soon as everyone could get back on the field, we steamrolled everyone.
Tigers were VERY good all year yes, but Cards played without a full deck for most of it and came back strong and creamed them. So how's that for stats and who's 'most favored' in the line-up.
I have no clue who will win next year - next year has not begun yet.

Well, since winners have been coming out of the strangest places these past few years, how about
The Seattle Mariners! SODO MOJO!
My serious guess is the Mets, but as we saw this year, nothing is ever a sure thing in baseball. Except maybe Walter Johnson, but he is long gone.
The Cubs? Nice pick, but my gut says they win in 2008, exactly 100 years after their last win.

Indians. It's a no brainer. They had probably the best offense in baseball last year outside of the Yankees. Their starting pitching is solid and I want to say I heard they had one of the best starting pitching ERA. The problem was bullpen ... which they are going to fix by picking up a few washed up veterans who are going to turn their career around on the way to a Cleveland World Series Sweep over the Pittsburgh Pirates

Tigers have a problem. Craig Monroe may not acutally be there next year, mabye Bonderman is gone, questions over Verlander.
Best guess AL: Yankees or Red Sox
Good hitting lineups and they should have pretty good rotations.
NL: Marlins or Mets - for pitching/hitting

I'm a BIG ANGELS fan. I would think the angels will go. I know allot of people root for the Dodgers, but I think the Dodgers aren't going to make it.Even though I'm a Angels fan I think they will only make it half way.
