I think he is a good president. I would rather have a president who stands for what he believes in rather than one who gets blowed in his oval office or one that cant make a decison.
The problem i am having is i dont know what i am.Like I dont know whether to describe myself as Republican or Democratic.
Personally I think the Democrats are personally a bunch of *******, but I'm tending to be more liberal.
I agree with gay marriage, the Iraq War, stem research, and I am pro-choice. So am I Republican or Democratic?
And could you tell me what each party believes in.
Oh by the way!!! If anyone reading this is from Texas, is it true Kinky Friedman is gay, I heard he annouced it yesterday????
And why did he changed his name to Kinky?

Go to politicalcompass.org It's a test of your political beliefs, and it'll place you where you fall, both on the economic and the social scale. It's quite interesting.
Please don't believe everything you hear about the politicians from the media. The media is lazy and obedient to their corporate masters. Also, Hitler stood for what he believed in. Just a thought.
As for your beliefs, the Dems are more in line with them, except the Iraq war thing. Are you saying you are for the Iraq war? Why? That definitely places you in the minority, and that's a Republican stand. Perhaps you should do a bit of research into that particular issue and into Republican politics as a whole.

You are whatever you choose to be. I will adress the issues you brought up to the best of my ability.
Gay Marriage - Most democrats are in favor of allowing gays to marry. Most republicans do not want to change the definition of marriage, but many support civil unions for homosexuals.
Iraq War - Many democrats have called for an immediate withdrawel of our troops from Iraq, while others have called for a date to be set for withdrawel. Most republicans want us to stay in Iraq until the new Iraqi government is stable or as long as the Iraqis request us to stay within reason.
Stem Cell Research - Most democrats support no restrictions on stem cell research. Most republicans do not support government funding of fetal stem cell research. Republicans support no restrictions on adult stem cell research and acknowledge that great strides are being made in this area of research in contrast with fetal stem cell research which has thus far has many obstacles to overcome and has made no scientific contributions to date.
Abortion - Most democrats believe that a woman has a right to choose whether or not to have a child before or after conception. Most republicans believe that a woman has a right to choose whether or not to have a child before conception, but after conception, the child's rights must be protected even from its mother.
Hope this give you some ideas to ponder in order to make your decision. Good luck!

I like Bush, also. I enjoy having a president who stands up for what he believes is right and doesn't give two hoots about polls. I'm Republican (conservative) and I am pro-choice. When I vote, I vote for the person and not the party.
I think someone else suggested this link:

It takes years for people to truly discover their beliefs. Good luck.

You sound like someone who Democrat candidates would appeal to, but it's understandable to be wary of big government. As for Kinky.. no idea

Katie, you need help.
You suffer from cognitive dissonance.
But don't feel alone. Most of Texas suffers from it too.
You picked a good state to live your fantasy.
