no honey, don't even worry about it. The Dr told me that I had gained a little more weight than I should have when I was pregnant, but HE was 5 times my size!! And anyway, it's hard to exercise when your pregnant, I was so bad off I could hardly STAND for 5-10 minutes more less go out and speed walk 5 miles.. And being only 5-10 lbs over.. that shouldn't have any affect on giving birth.. Just relax and enjoy it while you can, I'm sure your beautiful anyway!!! Good luck and congrats!

It really shouldn't. I know a lot of women that gained almost twice the amount of weight that the doctor recommended. My best advice for you is to start yoga. They have special tapes for pregnancy excercising. Those are the best way to tone up if you are worried about that. It also helps you to relax, and the breathing techniques will actually help you out a lot with the actual delivery, especially if you plan on delivering vaginally. It doesn't matter if you take the epideral or not, the breathing just helps you to relax which can cut down on stress on the baby, which actually makes the delivery process easier for the both of you.

i dont think it should cause any problems...as lots of women gain weight when they are pregnant...you have to gain some weight its the body's way of supporting the child..also make sure to keep ur self somewhat active...another person also mentioned this and it walking really does help! Also it never hurts to ask the doctor about these things...so the next time u go for a check up..make sure to ask =) Good luck with everything !

10-15 lbs should not affect you too much. Try not to gain a whole lot during the end of your pregnancy and you'll be fine.

Have you talked to your doctor about it, does he/she say you're overweight or do YOU say you're overweight. If your doctor does'nt think it's a problem then I wouldn't worry about it. Just be sure that you are eating healthy, exercising, taking your vitamins and doing what the doctor tells you to do. I always found that walking was the best exercise for me during my two pregnancies. I had pretty easy natural deliveries w/both daughters (17 & 19 yrs ago)! So talk to your doctor!
Best of luck to you & baby!! Welcome to one of the most wonderful experiences of your life~Congratulations!

Not really. You'll be fine. If the doctor doesn't seem to be worried, you'll be just fine.
I was overweight by 40 pounds and had preeclampsia. Beyond that everything was fine.

Weight can affect the delivery if you are grossly obese when you conceive. It should not with just that little extra weight. Congrats.

I don't think so, if that was the case 95% of American women would have terrible birth stories
