Managed to scrape my car against a pillar today and it's done nasty damage to the paintwork. No body damage or deformities, so it's just deep, wide scratches basically.

Colour is metallic black. Spoke to my friend regarding this and he recommended a place to get the panel resprayed. It's a 3dr Ford Focus, so it's the panel which includes the rear wheelarch

What sort of cost should I be looking at here?

Have it "stolen" for the insurance money. And please drive more carefully in future.

i got a 3dr focus with a parking dent dent in the same panel! any other panel and it wouldnt stand out so much!
The best advice is to visit a dent and scratch repair service, they really are very good, and at a fraction of the price. I might imagine a bodyshop asking for £500+ for that kind of job.

I have a Saab and that had the same problem, if the paint is cut thru no amount of T cut or colour polish will fix it, it can be improved but you will always see it. Painting the panel is the only way

I wrecked the wing on my Rover Metro hitting a post in a car park and a replacement wing from a breaker in the correct colour cost me £12, only £2 more than the car was worth,

if it is only the scratch and no dent you should be looking at £125 to £175 they will only have to paint the quarter where the scratch is not the whole car

No this is now no longer the tire stress, this is the airmatic suspension moving the vehicle decrease. it relatively is genuinely an awfully cool function, very developed. and that i do no longer understand what you advise via way of the "plastic conceal", this is no longer popular to have a plastic duvet on the backside of a Mercedes, particularly no longer the E500. bypass to Mercedes and ask them approximately it.

You should be able to get it done for $400.00 or less. Get 3 or 4 estimates & if you are paying for it yourself (not insurance claim), tell them & they may give you a little better price.
