What is the smallest positive integer that when divided by 10, 9, 8, 7, and 6 leaves the remainders 9, 8, 7, 6, and 5 respectively????

Even if you don't get it, thank you so much for your effort :)

Note that in every case, the remainder is exactly one less than the divisor. So we know that x+1 must be divisible by 10, 9, 8, 7, and 6. Ergo, it must be divisible by their least common multiple, which is 2^3 * 3^2 * 5 * 7, or 2520. So the smallest value of x+1=2520, so x=2519.

Solving the problem is very easy.First of all find the Lowest Common Multiple of the numbers given. Then as it always leaves a remaindr of 1 less than the divisor, subtract 1 from the lowest Common multiple and that is your answer.
now the LCMof 10,9,8,7 and 6=2520.
Therefore required no, is 2520-1=2519
