As the cervix begins to thin and open, the "cork" of mucus that seals the opening of the uterus becomes dislodged. This gelatinous chunk of mucus can be passed through the vagina a week or two before the first real contractions, or just as labor begins.

your body is preparing for birth, if there is no blood, no contractions that last for a minute or more and are 5 minutes apart, and your water isn't broken, you are fine.
This is how your body is getting ready, everyone is different, obviously, so just get ready, pack your bags, get things in order and oh, get that much needed sleep, you wont be getting any until baby is 18 yrs old, good luck to you both, :-)

I think you will deliver in another 2 weeks. I've only been pregnant once, but have sure heard plenty of stories from friends and it seems like you'll be early, but not dangerously early. Good luck and congratulations!

It sounds like your body is preparing for labor!!! Just try to relax and get as much rest as possible. It also sounds like you are "nesting." REST!
