This is so cool. So you have 1/2 right? Take 2 and divide it into 1. Since 2 doesn't divide into 1 you have to remember to add the zero and decimal point, so you have 2/1.0 which equals .5 To convert to a percent, move that decimal over two places and you get 50%! Cool, eh? 1/4 = 4into1.00 = .25 = 25% This is hard to show without using a pencil...

Divide the numerator by the denominater, and then move the deciaml to the right two spots. For example:
1/2 = .5
move the decimal over to the right two places and you get 50%.
