What skills if any do I need to work at Starbucks? Also is there a dress code? Do I need to buy specific colored clothes to wear to work, or does Starbucks provide them for me? Any tips for someone who wants to work at Starbucks?

Drop by for a coffee and interview /Management/Staff. They might like you and ask you to fill out an application.

You have to be able to do a hot and sticky job, and be around the constant smell of coffee. You also have to deal with addicts suffering from withdrawal... I suppose the nicer way of saying that is people who haven't yet had their daily coffee. It can be a problem.

You should know basic math, English (although Spanish would probably help), and basic people skills. I'd suggest wearing khakis and a polo shirt, as can never go wrong with that. I think that Starbucks will probably give you a shirt or tell you what colour to wear.

Have patience, because you will need it, as in any people-oriented business. Good luck.

You dont need almost nothing to work at Stabucks. Yu just have to be presentable, happy and welcoming (though some that work there are not that so welcoming), and clean and tidy.

You dont have to buy clothes as starbucks gives you the uniform!

Hope that helps! and may be its u I will find there to give me ma favourite Tazo Chai!

Good Luck!!@

From what I have seen they like someone who looks different. They have a big turnover, because they hire students and pregnoids and just plain interesting young people. Just act interested, they will take it from there.

All I know is that Starbucks refused to send coffee to our troops in the middle east war on terrorism, and with a son having finished two tours of duty in Iraq and Kuwait, you can bet I've drank my last cup of Starbucks. Now, if their position on the war pleases you, well, drink away. God Bless you.

You should aspire to be an actor. Then you'd fit right in with everyone else.
