Because of how society has placed unrealistic expectation and stereotypes on both men and women. I may not explain this great because it's fresh on my mind, but the example you listed is perfect. It's not ok for a woman to be fat or anything less than model attractive. Also its accepted that women should br polite and submissive to their men and be virginal and pure, but at the same time to be looked upon as sex objects and "freaks" when her man wants it. Ridiculaus. At the same time men have this veiw of themselves as "playahs" where it's ok to score with many many women and treat them like gargage, which makes women think that they are garbage and should act like whores cause men treat them that way. Sad. We also have this idea that men can let their body go and be this fat overgrown "man baby" that women need to take care of and sort out. The Hardeez tripel thick burger commercials with the fat schlub of a boyfriend and the hot girlfriend who "takes care" of him is a perfect example of unrealisitc fantasy. Men can be next to animals and have to have a woman (who is at the same time mother, whore, virgin, independent and submissive (totally impossible) clean up their messes. These kind of stereotypes degrade both women and men. It lets men act like that and women veiw themselves as gargage. It's sad and it's wrong, and it needs to stop. Now I sound like some crazy person who spends all his time mentally masturbating. Ah well. It is a good question though. Main advice, Women, expect more out of your signifigant other and love them for who they are. and men, expect the best out of your girl and love her for who she is. Later.

I've always wondered that too. It seems as if they put certain requirements on women but not themselves. For example, it's just as hard for a woman to have a thin body (esp after kids) as it is for the man to have a six pack and a built, rockin body. I mean how many of those do you really see walking around?

Because when men go through Menopause they run out and buy something shiny. Like a "HARLEY DAVIDSON"
