Have absolutely no qualms about nudity. I've seen that guy naked or partially naked in about 100 movies or skits. He always goes too far, over the top, and isn't afraid of anything.

Definitely find acting classes. Take Improv. Also, a lot of former SNL members were involved with the comedy troupe "second city" in Chicago. Once, you've taken acting classes and honed your comedic skills you should try them...or any troupe similar to them (there's some other well respected institutions in LA or NY).

Also, you don't want to be the next will Ferrell. You def admire him. But you should want to be the next YOU.

If you're looking to be an actor, comedian, or comedic actor...work on acting, telling jokes, learning to be comfortable in front of an audience. Find a comedy club and hang out. Find out what it is like. Get your education.. how can you be a performer if you don't know what to talk about? Of course, you can talk about your own life but you also need to know about other people and the immediate world around you. Become an observer. It's all about telling stories.

Also, Women's Health Magazine had an article about this (it was in a section about trying new things) where a women was learning to do stand up, and the article had some great advice. It was in there Sept.2006 issue. See if they reprinted the article on there website.. or order a back issue (just get a current issue and look at the back to see how.)

Watch re runs of SNL (Gilda RAdner was always my fave!!)

Stephen Colbert is great too.

Check out scrubs and the office.

there's all kinds of humor out there you just need to see for yourself. And, hey seeing a play isn't a bad idea either (something funny..if you don't leave near a big theatre look into community theatre.)

(not to be corny) but, as they say in the business BREak a leg!

Stay away from Chris Kattan. Once Will started doing that, his career took off.

In all seriousness, I'd say don't try to model yourself after anyone. Be yourself! Will's uniqueness is what makes him great. It would never be the same if someone else came along and imitated him.

As for starting a career in comedy, I'd recommend joining a ComedySportz circuit or some impromptu club. That's how a lot of the great ones got their starts.

Most SNL people came from Second City theater group in Chicago...start there, they have lots of trials and auditions

Look at the alumni

Maybe you can relate some of your jokes as of what's happening of today's society (probably like how Borat does his maybe, but maybe not).
