Could this Bluetec run on biodiesel?

The Bluetec is a pretty sophisticated setup. However, with no set standards for biodiesel formulation, Mercedes will only condone the use BD5 (5% biodiesel, 95% petroleum diesel) without voiding the factory warranty.

The E320 BLUETEC uses low-sulfer "clean" diesel, available at most filling stations in the US and Canada, and meets emissions standards in 45 states (all except California, Maine, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont). A 50-state version of the E320 BLUETEC will arrive in 2008.

I'm not familiar with your vehicle but if it runs on diesel it will run better on bio-diesel. Further it will not affect warranty or require anything.

Chemically they are the same just from different sources, the bio being the purest form as it does not contain any sulfides a very corrosive, unwanted naturally present component of petro-diesel.

Yes, bio is better than petro but don't tell the refiners i said so.
