There was a segment on the news which I cannot refer to you, but the reporter was interviewing this older couple who purchased a small honda. T;hey took the car out for a weekend drive to see if they would like it. The older couple noticed that the gas guage was not changing. It was on full the whole weekend. When they went to return the vehicle, they spent a total of $1.86 in fuel cost. The older couple went back to the dealership and was going to close the sale papers when the woman noticed two men in black looking under the hood of their new car. They grabbed a small devise and ran off in a dark colored surburban. Since that time the milage was back to 28 mpg's.
The dealer did some research on where the car came from. The vehicle was part of a goverment experment on fuel econemony There were twelve other vehicoles that were part of the experiment, but this one that the couple had, the feds forgot to take off the devise that helped in getting un heard of milage.

I know what your talking about. With the whole Fed thing. No I don't know the device. I did how ever about 25 yrs ago read about a man who was selling a recipe for gas that you could make out of household garbage. It cost around 14 cents a gallon to make, burned cleaner than any gas around and would keep your engine cleaner and get better mileage. Guess what happened?
The oil companies sewed the ever living crap out of the man for the copy rights and patents and can no longer be found.POOF! Can't find the recipe anymore and some poor guy with a great idea that could have saved fuel resources,Billions and Billions of gallons Of oil from being wasted And maybe help delay global warming because of how clean the exhaust was coming from the vehicles that ran off of it, Has lost everything. They made him go completely bankrupt.
Now look where we are? Making Iraqi's rich!

I love these stories. It reminds me of my childhood when the government, supported by big oil companies, suppressed use of a 200 miles-per-gallon carburetor - or at least that was what we heard. I think the two men in black were secretly refilling the gas tank at night to get a good laugh at two elderly people.

I could be that Uncle Sam is hiding a mechanical miracle from the public or it could be this story is baloney. I will go with the baloney.

Did this happen near Area 51? Was a UFO involved? This sounds as much an Urban Myth as anything I've heard. Get some sources, at least doubtful ones, but some.
