Why did Doc.Strauss think Charlie would be a good subject for the experiment?

Great story to read. If I can find my copy I think I will re-read it. .............I think one of the main reasons he chose Charlie is because of his honest simplicity. He would be able to note the most rudiment improvements to Charlies abilities because he was so set in his daily routines. Also that Charlie was so well know by fellow workers at the bakery, they to would be obvious to any advancements that he might exhibit. Like when he did the mixing job for the fellow who thought it would be fun to show his inabilities just to be shown up by Charlies new found abilities instead. Hope this helps you out.
