I believe a rock hit my windshield at the top of it and now it not only has a hit mark but a crack running down that is already 4 inches long. I don't have alot of money and i know i can call the insurance company and see what my deductible is. Any product on the market tho that might help?

i own a repair shop, and some of the stuff on the market just doesn't work,if you ever hit it with a pressure hose from a car wash it will finish cracking all the way ,your best bet is to get it replaced and be done with it you can waste a lot of money on quick fixes ,but in the long run you,ll have to get it replaced good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

I think your out of luck, once it starts running it won't stop until it gets to the bottom. Usually your deductable on glass is $100 and I don't know where you live but here in Ohio where I live there are places that will replace your windshield for what the insurance pays them and forget your deductible.

This sometimes works. If you take a glass cutter and find the end of the crack. Go 1/8" below and cut a 'X' in the glass. This may stop it or it may just keep going.

Good luck

You can use packing tape over it to keep the crack from spreading. But you should get it filled ASAP. Go to an auto glass shop, with cool and warm tempratures the crack will spread.

There is a special sticky tape u can get to put on it so the crack doesn't spread until u can get ur window replaced.... I drove around like this for five years!! Or there is also a special glue aswell.

Check with your insurance company
and your state laws concerning road
stones.
It might be covered. Some window cracks
come under no-fault.
A good glass shop can replace it while
you're on coffee break.

if the crack in your windshield is star shaped go to your local auto glass co. if it is a straight or curved crack it can't be fixed

You can try to take it to the repair place and see if they can put a window patch on it. This may help a while.
