I'm tired of seeing all this *** shaking, half naked women on "videos". And no all of them are not rap videos. Mainstream Pop and other genres of music are hoppin on the bandwagon too. Can we go back to the old days when their was orginality instead of "bling, bling" and strippers on t.v.? The women are at fault too. Why look like a slut? For 15 sec. of fame?

I completely agree with you. Unfortunately, the entertainment and music industry will do what it takes to sell a record/artist/etc. If these teeny boppers would turn off MTV and stop watching it, then they would change the "product" they are selling. The fad will go away eventually. Men are always going to use beautiful women in their videos but whether they are clothed or not depends on us.

They can't demean women if the women refuse to be in them. Some women use that as a stepping stone for exposure for other ventures, and some are happy with being a video ho. It's no different than stripping... But at least they are not doing a porno, and they are getting paid about the same to be in a 4 minute video then a 1hr a.s.s. fest... It's just fantasy I guess. And the thing is that when they go on tour, girls will throw themselves even at the entourage just to think they can get as close as they can get to the main person. But it's in demand- sex sells and that's the way it is. But I agree there's a lot of a.s.s. being flung around and it's just not with rap videos... the singers like jessica simpson, beyonce, trina, just to name a few have skimped on the clothes too.

There are plenty of hip hop videos without all that and without all the bling bling and nonsense that is going around now a days
check out some underground hip hop like sage francis or atmosphere or brother ali or immortal technique or jedi mind tricks

It's a transparent attempt to convince white teenage boys across America that behaving as if you are from a tough neighborhood so you can ease the pain of being a pathetic little chimp from the burbs is a rational strategy for social interaction.

You might even fool some dumb blonde into believing it... look at Britney, she fell for it.

And they make a good buck at it.

The rappers like the women and the women like to be objects. The reason strip clubs and skin mags and all that won't ever go out of business isn't because the men demand it as much as women will always be willing to take off their clothes. I don't listen to any music that is just a glorified Look at me, Look at me song (i.e. London Bridge).

its because rap sucks as an art form. billionaire rappers make videos convincing POOR urban kids to WASTE money on gold teeth and grills, and expensive clothing. They are only worried about image and how cool they look. trashy women make them look cooler to other guys so that can have more status. education doesnt matter. religion doesnt matter. abiding by the law doesnt matter. respecting women doesnt matter. those things are not very cool in the hip-hop community

cause the way they value themselves, is dirt cheap....
it doesn't look sexy, and any man who thinks it is, well then, they are not truly a man....
a woman should be treated with respect ALL the time, and the men that don't treat them that way, is no good in my book...
remember, RESPECT works both ways, BUT, if you don't respect yourself, NO ONE else will
