how can you make a homemade lever and or other simple machine?

all you need is a sheet of metal. light metal. cut out a piece to make a bucket like form. use the remaining metal, cut it out in a shape that looks like an cursive 'l' connect them using crazy glue on the middle then your done!

All you need is a ruler and and a pencil. Put the pencil under the ruler about halfway along the ruler and you have a lever. You can demonstrate force and distance advantage by simply moving the pencil closer to one end. For example, if you move the pencil to about 1 inch from the end that you push down you will get more distance but less force at the other end
