I know I'm old and everything, but why do college students like him? Are they just there to make fun of him like they used to do with Slim Whitman?

Bob Saget is apparently not at all like his full house character. He is very rude, crude and vulgar. Thus attractive to the younger crowd.

I believe it's the type of stand-up he does. It's not the "Full House" comedy you would imagine. There is a kind of raunch to it that appeals to the younger crowd.
