I've been on the extended cycling for over a year and nothing has been irregular until now. I used to be on depo and after a year they suggested not using it due to the side effects. Before the depo i was on pills and became pregnant while using them so i went to the depo. I always have a period every three months and give or take a day when they first start. So i had my period the first week of Oct like normale, then at the beginning of Nov i started bleeding again and have not stopped yet. I don't have insurance and was hoping to get some ideas before i spend money on tests that may not even have anything to do with this problem.

I know I should just let this question pass since I am not a woman, but the cycle of periods depends on the pill you are taking. Some pills make you skip one month and bleed more the next month. If you really want an answer you will have to post the name of the pill and for how long you have been taking them.

Sorry sounds like you are experiencing one of Im sure many side effects of messing with your cycle. If you want to have a regular cycle where you can know the day you will have your period start, try Nuva Ring. Ive been going on 2 yrs now and girl, I can tell you with in 3 hrs when mine will start. It only lasts about 4 days and I dont have to worry about forgetting to take a pill. SUPER Stuff, try it

Not sure. Go to the doctor. Breakthrough bleeding is a sign the pills are not working. If you do not want to get pregnant use some other method of birth control. There could also be other problems and you need to have a doctor take a look.

are you sure you didnt skip a pill? if you miss eben one, you can end up with period that lasts for weeks.

if not, maybe your body just isnt adjusted to the extended period pills. you should see a doctor to be sure nothings wrong, but you may simply have to switch to a regular 1 period a month pill.

You may have "Disfunctional Uterine Bleeding" which could be do to hormones (your pills) or an irregularity like a "fibroid" which can also cause that problem. You need medical attention from a doctor who has studied these things.
