microsoft firewall is part of service pack 2. it's redundant to have 2 firewalls. You can turn off the windows firewall and have zonealarm running.
To turn it off go to Start > controll panel > Security Center > windows firewall. Disable it only after you've enabled zone alarm.

Ole R has the right answer. Zone alarm firewall will disable windows firewall automaticly. It will not remove it but you do not want to do that. You might need it in the future if you uninstall any other firewall.

I have used Zone Alarm twice over the last year and on both occasions have had to remove. I kept getting broadband blocked and had to reload Yahoo browser after removing Zone Alarm. I suggest you use BT Yahoo firewall and disable Microsoft if using BTYahoo.

Windows firewall is no good, because you only get incoming protection A good firewall is suppose to protect you incoming from rogue ports and outgoing data that may leave your pc without your permission.

You can disable windows =MS firewall after getting zonealarm running. You do that in control panel>windows firewall
