Well, there isnt much to say, but this laptop is a Frys Brand. It is selling at frys for about 600bucks plus tax (im not sure if there is a warranty buy ill check). It has 40gig hd, 256mb ram, and basically thats all. I've been reading reviews on the net, and some say it's perfect, and some say it's a horrible laptop. Well, i know im going to get replies like, "No way, it's not brand name, so dont trust it." Im on a budget, so i need a cheap laptop with a nice memory. Im not sure if it's a good deal or a crappy one - please help me out! Thanks.

Hi! I don't want to put down a GQ Laptop from Frys Electronics but it's like buying a McDonald SUV even from a dealer. Remember a big part of the cost goes to paying for stamping the logo "GQ". What's left if for the supplier of the notebook and just imagine what's that. There is a saying, "You get what you paid for." Go for company which really is the manufacturer/assembler like Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba... Hey it may not run well but you could look absolutely fabulous with it. It's GQ! Good luck.

If I were you, I wouldn't buy it from Fry's. Go to a Costco near you or Costco.com and check out their laptops. Not only do they have very good laptops at unbelievable prices, but you also get a 6 month free warranty with your purchase. Lets say one day it falls or you dropped it and it breaks. Now at Fry's they will tell you that's your fault and besides the 30 day warranty has expired. Now you take it back to Costco, you will get a full refund in cash or credit whichever you prefer with no questions asked. I buy a new laptop from them every 6 months, I return the old one and buy a new one. I love it. Good Luck.
