I have a Tsstcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552b
Everytime I burn a cd it would be really chop only a few parts of the movie would work correctly when playing it on my dvd player. I believe its my dvd burner scratching the dvdr. cause when I look at the bottom of the dvd after I burn it.. it shows scratches? Anybody know how I can minimize the scratching my dvd player does or anybody might know what the problem could be?

try a different brand dvd ... dont use rws' only rs' ... you may want to change ur converting app depending on what ur doing ... depending on ur burning app, make sure the dvds are burned "closed"... and i would test them out in another settop player if the problem persists .. minor scratches shouldnt effect things but if your player is marring them badley replace it .. theyre cheap these days

Get some canned air, and try blowing the dust out, it is usually dust scratching the disk.
