Ammonia works well, one thing you can try is if you have a cat or know of someone who does is to place cat urine clumps from clumpping cat litter in the area that you want them away from. This cat litter techniques works best in the burrows of these animals and is effective for 2 reasons, one being the strong smell of ammonia, and second is the smell of a potential predator, both of these odors in combination work well.
CRITTER RIDDER is a common product which can be purchased at any hardware store, it works well just by spreading some around the area
Skunks also arent too fond of moth balls, so you can give that a try if all else fails

good luck, hope this helps!

I used 50/50 mix of amonia and water in a spray bottle. Keeps everything out.

The best way to keep anything out is to not give them a reason to want to come in. Figure out why he is coming in and remove that reason. If he is eating your plants, maybe try planting new plants, or move them where he cant reach.
