Our family friend had problems with her kidneys and she needed a transplant and waiting for kidneys can take a LONG TIME. Fortunately, she was lucky and she received a kidney from a 17 year old male cadaver who tragically passed away in a car accident.

My friend's 7 year old sister when she died from an aneursym, her parents donated one of her eyes to a blind man recipient. They didn't want to donate both of her eyes because she had beautiful eyes.

I am an organ donor, anything anyone needs! When my husband passed away, we donated his organs and tissues, and A LOT of people were helped. I also received a kidney 17 1/2 years ago, and am forever grateful.

I plan on donating, I have it on my drivers license and told my next of kin those where my wishes. Anyone can do this on their drivers licenses, make sure you tell your next of kin or state in your will that this is your specific request. I am donating all, including bone marrow, they just have to leave some remains to be cremated. I don't care to much what happens after I am gone. Being on the healthy side, the only way they will benefit from me is in a tragic accident, that is why it is on my drivers license. I am an organ donar because I know someone who is alive now through a liver transplant. Good question, people should donate.

yes. why? why not? i won't be needing them anymore and if the doc can help one person live a better life because of me.........wow.........wouldn't that be cool!
parts: anything they can use. anything - skin - whatever they need they can have!

to say no because of illness is just wrong for me. if you donate they can study your organs and gain insight into whatever your health issue is.
hopefully they will be able to study my colon and see what makes it so bad! and maybe find a cure and help thousands of others with the same disease!

just stop and really think about this....somewhere, right now, there is someone waiting for a heart, a lung, kidneys, liver, eyes, skin grafts, it is so amazing that I who am so unimportant in life, could be such a great help to others in death!
so, thats why! please all of you........become an organ donor!!!!
its the best gift you can leave to anyone!

Yes I am an organ donor. My whole body could be donated on my death if it would further lupus research.

Yes, my father had a heart attack and I was afraid we would need a transplant, but he did not need one. I would not like anybody in this world to be in need of something, knowing that I could save someone and a family I chose to be a donor.

Yes I have registered to become an organ donor when I die.

I hope they can take anything I don't need to help someone who does.

I would also gladly allow my children to be donor's if they were taken from me. It would give me great comfort to know they live on in another way :)

Yes.

They can have whatever they want. I won't need it, won't be aware of them cutting it out or off, and it may improve or even save someone else's life.
