My boyfriend is concerned about me wearing makeup. He says he heard it wasnt safe for the baby. I'm 4 weeks pregnant with my frist child and want to be as careful as possible.

No sweetie! Makeup is perfectly safe during pregnancy, providing that you are not EATING it! The only beauty items you should avoid, are perms and haircolor. Good luck with your pregnancy. I hope you have an easy and safe delivery and a happy healthy baby. Good Luck!! :)

there is a chemical found in many make up products that research has shown to be harmful for a growing fetus. the chemical is any "thalates". But i think the research showed more problems in boys than in girls. Better to be safe than sorry though. Congradulations on having a baby though! hope this helped!

makeup???? I have never heard it was dangerous to wear during pregnancy. I would think breathing the polluted air would be more dangerous.

Only if you eat it.
My wife used it during her pregnancy and our daughter turned out fine. Just don't drink or smoke, and no caffeine.
