Yes. It will always be too soon to make a joke about 9/11. Terrorism is not a joke.

Giddiyup away from a joke that costs pain no matter how long ago the event happened.
It shows lack of compassion empathy and feeling for life.
What is funny about people losing their life or being treated cruelly. Don't answer that, my compassion wouldn't encompass that. A joke can be sick or healing.
A joke that is about something that is on everybody's anger list and shows the irony of the situation is good.
Think before making a joke. Does it hurt or heal?
I'd stay away from the jokes if taken out of joke context and said seriously would hurt or anger people.
I'd enter the jokes that would heal when expressed in new view.
God made jokes to be assistants to help heal the world.

You could joke about it from the moment it happened.
This is America.
Edit: That doesn't mean I approve of joking about that tragedy.
I'm just saying that this is America, and you can say anything you like, at anytime, so long as it doesn't damage someone.
In this case, it would only damage the joker.

No it is not, there were jokes going round only hours after Steve Irwin died. I was shocked but they certainly were funny. Sometimes we just have to look on the brighter side of life, as in the song, and what has taken you soooo long?

i dont think it will ever be ok to joke about 911 thats some serious stuff, you must not realize what really happened to this country on that day, life changed forever
