HELLO...he is one of the greatest defensive players of all time...OF COURSE it will affect the team's chances of making the playoffs. Even if he comes back sooner than expected, he will not be 100%. I still think the Giants are good enough to make the playoffs, even without their dominating Def. End.

Well I think that the division will be a tight race with this stipulation but that division is still all Giants and a little of dallas. Strahan is a great defensive player and yes they will miss him (BTW he culd be done for the season according to caughlin) but as long as they have one of them ( Oci or strahan) there d will survive. But that division is theirs or the cowboys. I still think dallas is for real but the eagles hav the hardest 2ND half shec in the league and the skins needed a blocked field goal a bs facemask call a dropped sure tuchdown and like 15 penalties against dallas just to beast them. In the end Giants finish 11-5 win the division over a 10-6 cowboys who will get a wild card!

It will hurt the Giants, but it will not keep them out of the playoffs. They will have more trouble winning the division, but they will because it has the struggling Redskins, Cowboys and Eagles. There is no way this team loses the division. Eli will step it up and the Giants will win 2 or 3 of the next 4.
