The first recorded war occurred in c. 2700 BC. It was between Sumer (in modern Iraq) and Elam (a region that is now part of Iran), and was fought in the area around Basra (just like the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s). Of course, tribes, cities, etc., had been fighting each other for thousands of years before that, but there are no records of these earlier conflicts as writing wasn't invented until a little before 3000 BC.

The first detailed account of a war dates from c. 2525 BC. It is a pictorial record carved on a stone monument erected by Eannatum, ruler of Lagash (a Sumerian city-state), to commemorate his victory over the ruler of Umma (another Sumerian state). This monument is known as the Stele of Vultures, because it shows birds feeding on the enemy corpses. More importantly, it also shows Eannatum and his army in full war gear, giving a good idea of their equipment and battle formations.

Dude, nobody knows. I'm sure there were wars before there was history or even language to name a war.

I'd say wars started about the time people had agrarian communities and leaders--once the concept of "wealth" was invented. There wouldn't be much point in fighting if all you did was move around hunting and occasionally running into other bands of nomads. But if you had houses, community buildings, land that you used year after year...you'd be willing to fight to keep it or gain more.

People may have had personal squabbles all along, but I doubt there'd have been actual wars until there were tribal leaders, maybe "royalty" of some sort. People who ruled and people who followed the rulers. But I don't know what the first war of that sort was.

The first war ever? Probably around 1,000,000 years ago between a couple of tribes of proto-Humans. But if you're talking about World War One, then that started in 1914

Technically the first war has been lost to time. No one knows for sure when the first war was, it was probably two groups of cavemen.
