I'm 37 and have a bladder control problem. I'm afraid my husband won't find me attractive if I wear the Depends things. What if it was your wife?

You can get this fixed, sweetie. Go to a doctor. There are surgeries that help this tremendously. Also...for those who are making jokes...this will happen to about 90% of all women who have children or that live long enough! You can also do Kegel exercises to help strengthen the muscels that hold the bladder up. Do a google on kegels and how to's, Drink less caffine, and go see your doctor. It's really not that big of a deal and your husband would be a jerk if he said anything about it, especially if you have carried HIS children that possibly helped to cause this. Good luck sweetie.

I am not a lady but I do have the same problem. If the depends work, then I would tell you to wear them if it helps you. Sometimes, I have to change underwear two or three times a day, and I can understand the embarrsment you go thru, because I have.
I have had to walk into the store and purchase new shorts. Now I carry an extra pair of pants and underwear in my van.
I take medication for it, but it does not work everytime for me.
I wish you the best of luck.

bladder control problems may be controlled with medication or exercise, see your doctor first. something as easily treated as a UTI may cause these symptoms. If it's a minor problem something as simple as a panty liner may do the trick without having to resort to the bulkier Depends. and as everyone else has said, your husband should still love you no matter what is happening to your body. "in sickness and in health", remember? lol as we all get older, things like this are not as uncommon with people as we fear. good luck!

I feel that if your husband really loves and respects you he will be entirely understanding... if he stops loving you or doesn't find you attractive or something because of something that you cannot control, then that is really sad on his part. Good luck :)

You need to see a gynaecologist to get a surgery to tighten your bladder opening. Don't suffer anymore.

I would feel bad- for her. I would still find her attractive. No matter what minor problems come along, your spouse will find you attractive, since they love you.
