I left a message asking for information such as HOA fees, assessments, etc and they have not responded.

The Realtor should be able to give you that information or get it for you.

Tell both yours and the sellers realtor , if they are interested in the sale, then they should get you the documents or the phone # for the HOA management and you can ask them yourself.

My HOA documents are a rattling e book. ordinary style i've got not heard from them in 2 years. Even forgot I had one. regrettably there are not too many neighborhoods the place I stay that have not got an HOA. We appeared.

In California when you purchase, you are given all the documents to read and approve prior to closing. If you don't approve you can back out.
