Don't spend your life building financial security to find that when you retire you don't know your children and you are too sick from years of hard work to enjoy the money.

Before I was 16 I could :
wash dishes
cook dinner
wash my laundry
vacuum
clean a bathroom spotless
diaper, dress, feed, and bath a baby or small child
Do a checkbook
do a budget
mow the lawn
check the oil in a car
pump gas
and much more...
My parents taught us how to be self suffecient before we were old enough to be on our own. It made things so much easier when I finally went out on my own! I will make sure my son and any other kids we have know all this and more as well!
Good question! Have a good night!

Great question...(thx for the dime by the way!)
I have a lot to live up to as both my parents are real high fliers...
One of the most important things my Dad taught me is to listen to the advice and stories of the old people, as they have more knowledge than I can imagine and there is a lot to be learnt from them....plus they like to have company so it is a good deed when you do it...
The rest, Another Dadism I carry with me is that 'I should not view the world through the hole in the end of my dingaling' ....I don't need to sleep with every girl I meet or befriend...it took quite a while during my teenage years to understand what hew meant, but now I am a bit older, it makes more sense!!

The best lesson would be that my mom taught me how to clean myself so I wouldn't smell (private parts included). And dang some people (more women than men) were not even taught how to clean their private parts but they would take a shower without cleaning their private parts?
