He is one of my coolest guy friends and only sometimes he talks to me, should I ask him if he likes me? Or should he tell me that he likes me?

If he is a friend well then wouldnt you guys talk.... well maybe just maybe he likes you and he is nervous to be around you so he avoids you. But i would wait a little longer but if nothing happens i would tell him how you feel.

if he likes you enough, he'll tell you about it, dont put yourself in that rejection position...
and if you want ask him (i did and he said he did)...so go for it, but only if your sure
or maybe just ask one of his close friends that you know will tell you
