My Dr told me one full pack of pills. So no if you have been taking it a week I wouldn't risk it.

It also depends on what kind of pill it is.

You should wait until you have completed at least one full cycle of pills. This includes finshing a month of pills, and then your menstrual cycle. Once you have started a new cycle of pills, you should be fine. And also, you should always use a condom even when you are taking birth control pills. Birth control pills do not protect against STD's. Be safe!

It depends on what form of birth control you mean. If it is condoms then I would say 95% safe straight away. If it is the pill then I would say to be very careful for at least 3-4 months.

It takes two months before most birth control pills will prevent a pregnancy. Your doctor should have explained that to you.
