The biggest thing that you have to do is have an open mind. If you have a bias about a culture, it will show to an employee of that culture. I used to do a little research on my employees culture. I had one guy who moved from Greece, so I looked up social patterns in Greece. This way I knew what to expect.

Managers in today's politically correct society have to deal with complex issues, which are referred to as cultural diversity. Therefore managers have to be open minded and accepting of other people's customs and social mores. In other words if you have an employee, as a manager, you have to overlook, anything that this employee does, that might normally seem offensive or derogatory.
